Police in Woodbridge are investigating after several clubs in the Amity Regional School District started missing funds.

Police say a former employee of the Amity Regional School District is suspected of embezzling funds from student activity and club accounts. According to authorities, the suspect stole tens of thousands of dollars from a student activity fund.

School Superintendent John Brady says the district discovered the missing money late Friday and contacted Woodbridge police, who are now in charge of the investigation.

Brady says an arrest is likely in the near future.
