Radio station WPLR hosted a toy drive yesterday at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport.
The event was hosted by radio personalities Chaz and AJ. Gov. Dannel Malloy and Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch made appearances as well.
Keith Dakin of WPLR says this year the toy drive will be helping more families than usual, due to the storm and the economy.
WPLR says this year's event raised more than $87,000 in cash and toy donations.
