A retired Stamford police officer was killed in a crash on Route 59 in Easton Tuesday evening that involved three cars.

A retired Stamford police officer was killed in a crash on Route 59 in Easton Tuesday evening that involved three cars.
84-year-old Kenneth Lowman, of Monroe, retired in 1984 after serving 22 years as a police officer.
Lowman was a passenger in a 2014 Jeep Patriot that was traveling north on Route 59 south of Maple Road when the driver crossed the double yellow line and side-swiped a Hyundai Sonata
The driver continued north in the southbound lane and then collided with a 2019 Nissan Sentra.
Two other people involved in the crash remain hospitalized.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
