2014 Fourth of July Fireworks Guide
Check out this list of locations to see fireworks this Fourth of July Weekend! Please note: Event details may have changed and might not be reflected on this list. Please check with appropriate organizations and municipalities if you are planning to attend any of the events. This list does not include every fireworks show in Connecticut.
Stamford Fireworks
Cummings Park, Stamford CT
The City of Stamford today announced that this year's Independence Day fireworks display has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather. The show will now take place on Saturday, July 5. The postponement will not affect any other details of the event. The event is planned to begin at 6:00 PM at Cummings Park, with the fireworks display beginning after sundown. The event is free of charge.
Greenwich Point Park Fireworks
Greenwich Point Park, Greenwich CT
Greenwich will hold two fireworks celebrations, one at Binney Park and the other at Greenwich Point Park. Both shows will be July 5 and begin at dusk. Rain date for both shows is July 6.
Binney Park Fireworks
Binney Park, Greenwich CT
Greenwich will hold two fireworks celebrations, one at Binney Park and the other at Greenwich Point Park. Both shows will be July 5 and begin at dusk. Rain date for both shows is July 6.
New Canaan Family Fourth
Waveny Park, New Canaan CT
New Canaan July 4 celebration will be held on Friday, July 5 at Waveny Park. Gates open at 5 p.m. Fireworks will begin around 9 p.m.
Darien Fireworks
Darien High School, Darien CT
The Town of Darien Firefighters' Foundation is happy to announce the 2014 Fireworks Display will be held Saturday, July 5 at Darien High School. Gates open at 6 p.m. Fireworks commence at sunset. Rain Date will be July 6.
Weston Fireworks
School Road Weston CT
The Weston fireworks will take place on July 5 at Weston Middle School Gates open at 4:30 p.m. No entry from Lords Highway after 7 p.m. School Road and Route 57 only.
Wilton Fireworks
Wilton HS Athletic Field, Wilton CT
The Parks & Recreation Department fireworks will take place on July 5 at 9:30 p.m.
Meriden Fireworks
Hubbard Park Meriden, CT
The Independence Day fireworks celebration will take place on Wednesday, July 2 2014 at 9 p.m. at Hubbard Park. The celebration will feature musical guests The Mighty Soul Drivers from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. In the event of rain, the event will be rescheduled for July 3.
Norwalk Fireworks
Calf Pasture Beach Norwalk, CT
The City of Norwalk Recreation and Parks Summer Concert Series presents fireworks and a concert on July 5, 2014. The fireworks were originally scheduled for July 3, but have been postponed due to the threat of rain. All concerts are free and open to the public.
West Haven Savin Rock Fireworks
Bradley Point Park West Haven, CT
Fireworks begin at 9:00p.m. on July 5, 2014.
Naugatuck Fireworks
Old Firehouse Road, downtown Naugatuck CT
This year's celebration will begin at 6:00 pm. on Thursday, July 3 2014 on Old Firehouse Road, downtown Naugatuck. The event will include entertainment, food, and a variety of family oriented activities. The evening will end with a giant fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.
Danbury Fair Mall Annual Fireworks Show
Danbury Fair Mall 7 Backus Avenue Danbury, CT
Bands & Entertainment start at 6pm on July 5 2014 featuring local favorites - 'Fast Ricky' from 6-7:30pm and 'The Zoo' 8-10pm. During the fireworks show 'The Zoo' will perform LIVE. Tune into I95FM to hear the show LIVE!
Independence Day Fireworks Celebration Westport
260 Compo RD S, CT
This event will take place on Monday July 7 at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale and are $35.00 per car. Tickets are available for purchase at the Westport Police Station.
The fireworks had originally been scheduled for Thursday, but were moved due to the threat of rain.
Stratford Fireworks
Short Beach Park Stratford, CT
The Stratford annual fireworks display will be July 5. A concert will be on the Deck near the concession stand at 7:00 p.m. A Moon Bounce will be located at the Mini Golf Course. The Fireworks Display will be at 9:30 p.m.

3-D Fireworks at Quassy Amusement Park
Quassy Amusement Park Middlebury, CT
The July 4 2014 fireworks after dark over beautiful Lake Quassapaug is postponed until Sunday, July 6 2014. You can purchase the special viewing glasses for only $1. Free admission, but there is a $7 fee for parking. Rides, food and attractions are extra.
Rowayton Fireworks
Bayley Beach, CT
This event will take place on July 4 2014, with the fireworks display beginning at 9:15 p.m. Access to parking at Bayley Beach will be according to daytime rules: vehicles with a Bayley Beach sticker will be admitted, a $20 charge will be collected from vehicles without a sticker. In case of rain, the fireworks will be held on Sunday, July 6.
Madison Fireworks Display 2014
West Wharf Beach Madison, CT
This event will be held on Sunday, July 6 2014 at 9:30 p.m due to inclement weather. While there is no admission fee the town of Madison is accepting donations. The fireworks will be made from the waterfront areas in Madison.
Ridgefield Fireworks
Ridgefield High School Ridgefield, CT
Fireworks display in connection to the Family Fourth Committee will take place on July 12 2014 at 9:30 due to hurricane Arthur.
Fairfield Fireworks
Penfield Beach Fairfield, CT
This event will be held on July 5 2014, at 9:15 p.m. Viewing is possible from both Penfield Beach as well as Jennings Beach. Parking is free after 6:00 p.m. at both locations.
Lime Rock Racetrack Fireworks
Lime Rock Park 60 White Hollow Rd CT
The Salisbury Rotary Club's Independence Day Fireworks event at Lime Rock Park is Saturday, July 5 2014. Infield and Outfield Gates open at 6:00 p.m., and all concession stands will be open. Fireworks begin at about 9:00 p.m.
Fort Griswold Celebration on the Thames
Fort Griswold State Park Groton, CT
Fireworks on July 12 2014. Entertainment, food vendors and a concert from 6:00p.m.-9:15p.m. Fireworks over the Thames River at 9:20p.m. Free Admission.
Riverfest Hartford
Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, Hartford & Great River Park, East Hartford CT
Riverfest Hartford is set for July 12, 2014. (Rain Date 7/13 - Fireworks only 9:00pm)
Free admission for entertainment beginning at 4:00p.m. including live bands, amusements, kids' activities, great food, and more-- followed by the fireworks at 9:00 p.m.
Newington's Annual Extravaganza
Mill Pond Park Newington, CT
This event will be taking place on July 19, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission and parking are free. The day is lined up with different events and activities and will eventually lead up to a fireworks procession towards the end of the evening.
Celebrate East Lyme
East Lyme, CT
The 14th Annual Celebrate East Lyme will take place, July 19 2014 from 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. Celebrate with food, fun and fabulous activities for everyone in the family! Enjoy over 200 community & business vendors, live music and so much more! Take a ride in the Re/Max Hot Air Balloon and experience the excitement of our first annual Live Nautical-auction! The day concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over Niantic Bay!
