Sunny on Friday, risk of rain this weekend

FORECAST: Storm Team Meteorologist Michele Power says the area of low pressure responsible for this rain is sitting south of our area now, which will give us a break from the rain for tomorrow. Lows tonight will be in the middle 50s. Winds continue to come onshore and out of the northeast around 10-15 mph.
Friday will be partly sunny day. Temperatures also look warmer with highs in the lower 70s.
The clouds will return Saturday and there is a slight risk of rain. The latest forecast model guidance still differs on the placement of the low and rain for the weekend.
If we do see rain, Saturday would be the day. Sunday looks drier and slightly warmer, too. Look for those 70s to return next week with a fair stretch of weather finally.
Since March 1, there have been nine of 11 weekends where Bridgeport has picked up at least a trace of rain on one of the days. Our weekend weather hasn't been spectacular this spring and this weekend there is still a risk of rain.
POLLEN: Tree pollen is low today. Main culprits are oak, birch and maple. Levels return to high tomorrow.
