Police have three suspects in custody following an armed robbery and police chase that went through three communities.

Authorities say the robbery took place on a Bridgeport street late Sunday night. They say the suspects fled and led police on an 11-mile chase that came to an end in Westport.

According to police, sticks with nails were thrown onto the highway to deflate the suspects? tires. The suspects? car became heavily damaged and crashed into three police cruisers. Three Bridgeport police officers were treated for minor injuries in the crash.

Police say the driver of the vehicle is charged with several felonies, including assault on a police officer. The two other passengers have also been charged.
