Stamford police are investigating after an 8-year-old boy fell to his death through an apartment complex window Saturday evening.

The incident happened at the Rippowam Manor on North Street around 7:30 p.m. Police say the boy fell through a sixth-floor window. The boy was taken to Stamford Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

There has been no word yet on what caused the accident.
