Bridgeport police have obtained an arrest warrant for the man accused of forcing a teen to strip naked before shooting him to death earlier this year, officials announced Friday.
As News 12 has previously reported, investigators say 18-year-old Jeri Kollock collapsed from his injuries in the basement of the Green Home Apartments on Washington Avenue before trying to crawl to the door for help.
Police Chief AJ Perez says the suspected gunman will soon be arrested.
"I can't bring Jeri back, but I can let his mom and dad know that I can bring back and put in jail the person that took Jeri's life," Perez says.
Police say they're withholding the suspect's name for his own protection until they take him into custody.
