Bridgeport shooting sends four to hospital
A shooting in Bridgeport sent four people to the hospital Sunday.
Police say the shooting happened just before 4 a.m. in front of a Stratford Avenue deli. Police also say the altercation began with a fight in front of the Black Spades Motorcycle Club, where people often congregate late at night and early in the morning.
Police say the victims were in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, Stratford Avenue business owners say the area is always dangerous.
Bridgeport police introduced the Neighborhood Enforcement Team to patrol the part of Stratford Avenue where the latest incident occurred. However, the night patrol shift ends at midnight, nearly four hours before the shooting.
Residents say they are worried and want the violence to stop.
