Bridgeport woman holds toy drive in son's honor
A Bridgeport woman whose special needs son died in 2008 launched a holiday toy drive in his honor Sunday.
Isabell Richardson is asking people to drop off new, unwrapped toys at her home at 587 Capitol Ave.
Richardson is the founder of Aaron's Journey, a nonprofit group that recently created the Park City's first special needs playground for kids with and without disabilities.
She says the donated toys will go to children in need across Bridgeport.
"I'm looking for some of the parents to step up and come out and join me, help me wrap some of them presents," she says. "And I'll feel happy if they will bring their kids or ask their kids whatever they want for Christmas and I'll be their Mrs. Claus."
