A Greenwich street was closed down Thursday after a car crashed through a lamp store.

The car crashed through Just Shades on Prospect Road, and luckily no one was hurt. The store's owner, Mark Engelson, says he was in the back at the time and two customers had just left right before the crash.

"All of a sudden I heard this loud noise, banging noise and didn't know what it was at first," says Engelson. 

Engelson says the car came to a stop at the other end of the store breaking a counter, computers and merchandise. He called 911 and police blocked off the street for about 30 minutes while clearing the scene.

Engelson hopes to not be closed for too long, but says it depends on the insurance company.
