Commodores perform at 'Jazz Up July' in Stamford
People filed into Columbus Park in Stamford Wednesday night to secure spots for some cool music from the Commodores.
The band performed as part of the "Jazz Up July" outdoor concert series.
To help combat issues like heat exhaustion, the Stamford Emergency Medical Services was on hand, which it says is typical for the town's Wednesday and Thursday night summer concerts.
There were cooling tents and a treatment tent in case people started to feel sick at the concert.
Capt. Bill Ackley says that Thursday's concert will have an open fire hydrant sprinkler.
The "Thursday Alive at Five" series will run until Aug. 13.
The Stamford EMS says that it will continue to be on hand.
