Doctors say the use of telemedicine has been on the rise due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Yale Medicine's Dr. Daniel Kellner says in the past week, daily teleconferenced doctor's visits have jumped up nearly 1,000% due to new legislation that covers insurance costs.

He says consultations, prescriptions, medical history and even vital signs can be taken in a video chat with your doctor.

Kellner says even when the pandemic is over, telehealth is likely here to stay.

Health care advocates say some appointments still need to be in person to be most effective, so be sure to talk your to doctor about what you both think is best for you.
