Dr. Fauci says we are still in a learning process when it comes to COVID-19 and "we must be humble" enough to know information regarding the virus is changing.

Fauci: Good ventilation necessary in classrooms
Top U.S. disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci joined Gov. Ned Lamont during a COVID-19 press briefing in Hartford Monday. 
BRIEFING UPDATES:
-35,173 tests were administered, 252 came back positive. This is a 0.7% positivity rate
-56 patients are hospitalized (decrease of 13) 
-There have been 5 COVID-related deaths
-CT has passed 50,000 positive COVID-19 tests, 252 more since Friday. Positivity rate remain around 1%.
-The Department of Public Health will provide weekly updates infection metrics broken down by county. This will allow school districts to decide if they need to move from in person learning to hybrid or remote learning.
-Dr. Fauci says we are still in a learning process when it comes to COVID-19 and "we must be humble" enough to know information regarding the virus is changing. 
-Fauci says although children statistically show less severe symptoms of coronavirus, it's better to prevent it than strive for immunity.
-Fauci applauded Lamont for not pulling back on restrictions when cases dropped and applauded Lamont for mandating masks indoors.
-Fauci says Connecticut is in a good place. In many respects, it has the upper hand with containment vs. mitigation."

-Fauci: There is no doubt masks are beneficial in turning around resurgences we've seen in southern states. It is untrue and misleading to say masks do not work.
-Fauci: President Trump knows exactly how I feel about hydroxychloroquine. He knows I don't think it is an effective therapy for COVID-19.
-Fauci: When you have community spread it's insidious. It isn't easily identifiable who these spreaders are and it makes it more difficult to contain.
Fauci: The faster test results come in, the better contact tracing works.
-Fauci says if you cannot keep six feet apart, make sure classrooms have good ventilation and have people wear masks.
-Fall sports in schools depend on the sport, the contact between players and the level of infection.
