The lawyer for a former Milford police officer charged with manslaughter took the next step to attempt to get the trial moved from Milford to Litchfield because of pre-trial publicity.
Prosecutors say Jason Anderson was driving his police cruiser more than 90 mph when he slammed into another car, killing two 19-year-olds.
At a hearing today, defense attorney Hugh Keefe gave the court DVDs and newspaper clippings to try and show that news coverage of the accident would prejudice any jury from the area.
Superior Court Judge Denise Markle reserved decision and says jury selection will begin on Oct. 2 wherever she decides to hold the trial.
