Hoboken residents and visitors to the city Sunday were invited to the Hoboken Historical Museum for an open-house to reflect on Superstorm Sandy.
The Hoboken Historical Museum gathered stories and videos from residents over the five years since the storm to document the its immediate and ongoing impact in the community.
Those attending the event were able to watch about 50 videos that were taken on that fateful day in 2012.
Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer was also in attendance and said that no matter how great the storm's impact the date is a valuable part of the city's history.
More than 80 percent of Hoboken was flooded as a result of Sandy, causing $1 billion in damage.
