A Wilton resident has been identified as the first Connecticut resident with a presumptive positive case of the novel coronavirus, Gov. Ned Lamont said Sunday.
Health officials say the person likely became infected after a recent trip to California. They say the patient received medical care shortly after returning to the state.
Lamont says the patient is 40 to 50 years old and is being treated at Danbury Hospital.
This case is not related to the two cases involving New York residents who work in Connecticut hospitals.
