The Republican-led Nassau County legislature declined to vote on a plan that would've put $375 in some residents' pockets.
It's part of County Executive Laura Curran's proposal to disburse $100 million in funding Nassau received as part of the American Rescue Plan.
In a statement County Executive Laura Curran said “by delaying a committee vote, this important legislation now unnecessarily languishes in legislative red tape when it should have been one step closer to going into the pockets of residents who need it the most."
Currently there is no word when the proposal will be voted on.
