A Norwalk man is making a call for action for the safety of drivers, claiming teens are targeting vehicles with rocks and pellet guns.

Paul Hammond says about three weeks ago, his van was hit along Newtown Turnpike in Westport when someone shot at his driver's side window with a pellet gun. He says the glass shattered and broke all over him while he was driving. On Wednesday, News 12 Connecticut reported a 9-year-old girl was injured after a rock was thrown at a school bus in Norwalk. Hammond believes both incidents are teen pranks that must be stopped.Officials from the Norwalk Police Department say they are stepping up patrols in the area where the rock was thrown. They are also canvassing the neighborhood to find the person or persons responsible. Calls to the Westport Police Department about the pellet incident were not returned.
