Officers, family and friends attend wake for fallen Det. Robert Garten
A wake was held in Hartford Friday for Det. Robert "Bobby" Garten, who was killed last week when a teen fleeing a traffic stop crashed into the police cruiser he was in.

8h agoA wake was held in Hartford Friday for Det. Robert "Bobby" Garten, who was killed last week when a teen fleeing a traffic stop crashed into the police cruiser he was in.
Hundreds of officers, along with family and friends, paid respects at Dunkin' Park.
Officer Brian Kearney, who was also in that car, was injured. He was wheeled into the procession.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday morning at the Hartford XL Center at 10 a.m. The public is welcome. Garten will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
