Police: Bridgeport man shot in leg early Wednesday morning

Authorities say they responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Blackrock Avenue.

Bridgeport police say a man was shot in his leg shortly after midnight Wednesday.
Authorities say they responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Blackrock Avenue.
Police say they went to the area and located a crime scene but no victim.
A short time later, they say a 29-year-old Bridgeport man went to a hospital with a gunshot wound that was not considered life-threatening. The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
Police are still looking for the shooter.
