New Jersey State Police say that one person was killed in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate-78.

The crash happened Tuesday on the westbound side of the highway in Warren Township.

Authorities say that a Toyota Sedan and a tractor-trailer collided. Images from Chopper 12 showed that the front of the Toyota was wedged under the back of the truck.

The name of the victim was not immediately released.

The right and center lanes were closed for a time while crews cleared away the crash.

The cause is under investigation.
