A police standoff in Stamford ended early Wednesday after a domestic incident involving a man and woman inside a home, police say.
The incident happened Tuesday on Spruce Street near Stillwater Avenue around 10 p.m.
Kindell Harris, 22, of Stamford was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and interfering.
Police say there was a domestic incident inside the home involving Harris and a woman.
Neighbors called 911 and police arrived at the home but Harris refused to come out of the apartment.
Harris was inside of the home with a 5-year-old child and the woman.
Harris had a felony burglary warrant from a February, 2019 domestic incident involving the same woman inside the home, police say.
Investigators say Harris is facing third degree burglary, criminal mischief and threatening charges in the February case.
Hostage negotiation and special response teams worked to talk Harris out of the apartment after a few hours.
Lt. Christopher Baker with the Stamford police department says no one was injured during the incident.
The couple has only lived at the home for about a month.
Harris is being held on a $20,000 bond and is expected to face charges in the February incident which carries an additional $25,000 bond, police say.
