A Fairfield man is facing charges after police say he tried to choke his girlfriend during an argument. Police say Ricardo Dasilva, 31, strangled his girlfriend and slapped her face Friday night.

Ricardo Dasilva accused of choking girlfriend in Fairfield
A Fairfield man is facing charges after police say he tried to choke his girlfriend during an argument.
Police say Ricardo Dasilva, 31, strangled his girlfriend and slapped her face Friday night.
Officers say the couple offered different accounts on what led up to the assault.
However, they say Dasilva's girlfriend admits she slapped him before he attacked her.
