The Salt Cave of Darien held its grand opening on Boston Post Road.

The new business offers customers an environment where they can relax with the natural effects of Himalayan salts, negative ions, and soothing music.

According to the owner, Arianne O'Donnell Shuck, she started the salt cave after realizing she needed a change of pace.

"I have a very stressful job and I was thinking that I can't keep going this way, we need to start moving into kind of slow down, appreciating my younger kids and enjoying life and not being stressed all the time or working all the time and how can you not relax in this type of atmosphere," says Shuck.

The business will also offer relaxation sessions, yoga, and meditation classes.
