The Stamford Sharks Youth Hockey organization rolled up its sleeves to help revitalize a local rink Sunday.
The organization helped to revitalize the Scalzi Park Hockey Rink.
SYHA Vice President Nick Vergara says the rink is a multi-use facility that's used for roller hockey, ball hockey, street hockey and even box soccer.
The group replaced deteriorated boards, fixed nets and cleaned up areas surrounding the rink.
"I just think it shows the love that the Sharks have for the Stamford community, and the city of Stamford," Vergara says.
Organizers say they wanted to power wash some graffiti off the court, while still keeping some of the art that makes the rink unique.
