Police have identified the man fatally shot at a motel in Bridgeport.

According to police, Alfanso Anderson, who lived in the city, was shot and killed late Monday night in a room at the Sunnyside Inn on Lake Street.

A worker says Anderson let three males and one female into the room. About an hour later, he says he heard three or four gunshots.

Police say Anderson was found on the side of a bed, partly naked and surrounded by blood.

Officials say the suspects are on the run.

Police have not identified a suspect or said yet what led up to the shooting.

It marks Bridgeport's fourth homicide of 2018.

Police say they have responded to the motel in the past for incidents involving prostitution and drugs.
