Friends, family, and fans watched Connecticut born and raised goalie help bring Team USA to their fourth victory in the Woman's World Cup.

Friends, Family celebrate Stratford native goalie Alyssa Naeher in World Cup win
Friends, family, and fans watched the Connecticut-native goalie help bring Team USA to their fourth victory in the Woman's World Cup.
Stratford's Alyssa Naeher graduated from Christian Heritage School in Trumbull in 2006.
The gym of her old school was packed with people celebrating the Connecticut goalie as Team USA won. The crowd included fans, hometown friends, and educators of Naeher.
Jason Coles, a former teacher of Naeher, says, "You always talk to kids about if you work hard, you can get whatever you want. Today, I saw her accomplish that."
USA won the World Cup, beating the Netherlands 2-0.
The USA is the first team to ever win the World Cup four times.
