About 100 people can call themselves brand new citizens of the United States this afternoon.
A naturalization ceremony was held at Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport.
Officials say taking the oath ends a nearly year-long process that includes hurdles such as a U.S. history test and proving fluency in English.
