A Stratford pulmonologist recommends smokers looking to quit the habit reach out for help.
Dr. J.D. Sidana says quitting is not easy, but there are different ways to get help. Sidana recommends medication like Chantix to help reduce cigarette cravings. He says the medication can also help end the physical addiction.
E-cigarettes are also suggested to help smokers with the psychological addiction to cigarettes. However, pharmacists warn against using smoking cessation tools for too long, as it could prolong nicotine addiction.
