A 12-year-old girl was seriously injured after she was hit by a vehicle Monday night in Bridgeport, police say.
Police responded to the intersection of Park Avenue and Wade Street at 5:10 p.m. for a report of a person hit by a car.
Officers found the girl and the driver of the vehicle.
The 12-year-old was responsive but injured and taken to the hospital.
Police say the driver is cooperating with officers.
Park Avenue was closed between Eaton Street and Beach Place while police investigating but has reopened.
