A skilled 13-year-old golfer from Ridgefield was recently honored by the Connecticut State Golf Association.
Earlier this year, Arabella Lopez became the youngest player to ever win both the Connecticut Women's Golf Amateur and the Women's Player of the Year award.
Lopez is also currently ranked as the No. 1 junior girls’ golfer in the state. She says her ultimate goal is to make it to the LPGA Tour.
"From the beginning, I can't really remember wanting to be anything else. I love the feel of hitting a good golf shot and in-tournament, I love the thrill of being at the top of the leader board. If you want to play competitive golf and get to a certain level, you have to love it and have that certain drive to improve,” she said.
