More than 11,000 homes and small businesses in Connecticut don't have access to fast internet, and the federal government is looking to change that.
More than $144 million was allotted to Connecticut to expand high-speed internet access.
It's part of a $42 billion national effort known as the Internet for All initiative.
The state Secretary of Commerce says this money will help close the digital divide.
