Cos Cob firefighters have replaced 19 flags on the Mianus River Bridge after several instances of vandalism.
The Cos Cob volunteer fire department says it cost hundreds of dollars to get the flags flying again.
Police say they are stepping up patrols in the area to ensure they are not stolen or damaged again.
