Police say a 19-year-old man was fatally shot in Edenwald Wednesday.
The NYPD has identified him as Jahmir Turner, a Bronx resident who was killed less than half a mile from his home.
Shots rang out near Secor Avenue and Boston Road, blocks from P.S. 723, just before 5:40 p.m.
Authorities say officers discovered Turner with a gunshot wound to the back. EMS took him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he died.
