A group of student-athletes at St. Joseph's High School in Trumbull celebrated their futures on and off the field Wednesday.

Eight students officially signed their letters of intent with NCAA schools, including Princeton University, University of Richmond and Wesleyan University.

They will play a variety of sports such as softball, soccer, golf, baseball and lacrosse.

"I think it's real important for the students to be honored and celebrated for all their hard work and dedication that they've but into their academic careers as well as their athletic careers. This is sort of the icing on the cake and the capstone on where they are going to attend college and university," says the school's athletic director Kevin Butler.
