Family and friends are grieving over the loss of two people who were killed in a Norwalk fire.
Norwalk police say 39-year-old Melanie Weeks-Sammarco and her houseguest, 29-year-old Michael Carpenter of Plattsburgh, N.Y., died Tuesday at 13 Burwell St. Firefighters say four other people who lived on the first floor of the house escaped the blaze and got out safely.
Friends say Sammarco taught yoga and cut hair in Stamford. In a 2007 News 12 Connecticut segment, Sammarco spoke about inversion therapy, a unique form of yoga.
Bridgeport Hospital says Sammarco's husband, Matti Sammarco, remains in critical condition.
