State animal control officers say a Redding woman could face animal neglect charges after two mustang horses were seized from her property Thursday.
Authorities say the horses were malnourished and living in squalor at the home of Lisa Lind-Larsen, 75, on Packer Brook Road.
Officials say they were tipped off to the condition of the two horses, named Chinook and Cheyenne.
The horses are now at the Department of Agriculture's Large Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Facility in Niantic.
Neighbors say that Larsen is a nice lady, but her health has been deteriorating in recent years.
