Bridgeport police say a man was sent to the hospital on Sunday night after being shot in the leg.

They say it happened around 6:30 p.m. at the Greene Homes Housing Community.

Upon arrival, officers say they found a 40-year-old man suffering from a single gunshot wound to his leg.

He is currently in stable condition. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Aaron Rivera at 203-581-5179, or the police tip line at 203-576-TIPS.
