Pink Pledge Stroll raises funds for the Norma Pfriem Breast Center

Bridgeport Hospital and the Norma Pfriem Breast Center hosted their annual Pink Pledge Stroll for Strength at Seaside Park in Bridgeport Saturday.
Proceeds benefit the center which has been helping women fight breast cancer for more than 20 years.

"These events are so important because early detection is your power, it's your strength, it's key to survival," said Jennifer Jennings, senior program assistant of special events and development at the center. "We need women to know that they need to be…getting their annual mammogram, because that mammogram could save your life."
The center has locations in Bridgeport, Fairfield and Trumbull.
