Nonprofits across Connecticut are calling for an additional $491 million in funding in the next state budget.
Organizations like Oak Hill, which serves 3,500 individuals, are facing a critical funding crisis. "Chronic underfunding has forced us to close 20 programs – 20 programs – over the past 10 years," stated an Oak Hill representative. "Group homes and day programs that don't exist anymore."
