Nicholas Allwood has been arraigned on an attempted murder charge following two separate stabbing incidents and an alleged hostage situation in Bridgeport.
Police say they were preparing to arrest Allwood last week in connection with a stabbing case when a woman ran from the home where he was hiding.

Allwood then ran out after her, armed with a knife, and was arrested by officers.
He appeared in court Monday on charges related to the two stabbings.
