Norwalk police: 84-year-old woman fatally struck by pickup truck

An 84-year-old woman was killed when she was struck by a pickup truck Saturday in Norwalk, police say.
Police received reports around 10:16 a.m. that a person was struck near 133 Connecticut Ave. Police say Josephine Pimpinella was crossing the entrance to the parking lot at Baci Italian Deli when it happened.
She was taken to Norwalk Hospital with serious injuries and later died.
It was not immediately clear if the driver remained on scene or is facing charges.
