Renter's Rebate Program offers Bridgeport seniors, people with disabilities up to $700 to offset housing costs

Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim is encouraging Bridgeport seniors and people with disabilities to apply for the Renters' Rebate Program administered by the City of Bridgeport.

"People who are 65 and older - and people with disabilities - should apply for the program at 999 Broad St. no later than Sept. 30. It's an important source of help and we encourage folks to apply," Ganim said Wednesday.

Married couples who qualify can receive up to $900, he said.
