A person was pulled from a tow truck following a crash in Milford Friday, fire officials say.

Firefighters responded to Old Gate Lane near the Secondi truck stop just before 9:45 a.m. for a crash involving a tractor-trailer, a tow truck and another vehicle.

Crews had to remove the driver of the tow truck using battery operated tools.

Three people were evaluated at the scene, and one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. It's not clear if the driver of the tow truck was one of those four people.

The department's hazmat team also responded to clean up 20 gallons of fluid that leaked from the vehicles. Officials say no waterways were impacted by the spill and the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was notified.

Old Gate Lane was temporarily closed but has since reopened.
