A jury verdict in Hartford has closed a murder case that dates back to 2010.

Shawn Milner was found guilty of kidnapping and murdering Waqas Victor Rehman, of Farmington.

Rehman was abducted from the sidewalk in front of his business on Barbour Street.

While police were responding to the abduction call, gunshots were heard a short distance away on Nelson Street.

Rehman was found there with multiple gunshot wounds and later died.

Milner's DNA was found on the victim's clothing, police said.

Milner is scheduled to be sentenced March 23.
