Groups gathered in Norwalk Saturday to call for peace in the aftermath of the United States and Israel's joint military action against Iran.

Members of Connecticut Palestine Alliance, Jewish Voices for Peace, Veterans for Peace and World Beyond War came together at a vigil near Exit 16 on I-95.

"We tried to stop this war, we were unsuccessful, so now were going to try and stop it as soon as we can. It's illegal, it's immoral. I'm amazed the American people haven't learned a lesson yet and it seems to me we are going to need a mass people movement," said John Miksad, coordinator of World Beyond War.

The demonstrators also hung a banner over the bridge overpass to protest the military action.
