A Manahawkin man was identified as the victim in a construction accident Monday in Clifton.
Vincent "Vinny" Trotter, 34, of Manahawkin was killed when a boom lift with a bucket on the front was being removed from a flatbed truck. During the procedure, the boom lift toppled over onto its side.
According to Clifton city documents, a two-story, 15,000-square-foot school is being built at 294 Main Ave. The equipment was going to be used at that location. A company called Regency Development is operating this site.
According to a fundraiser started by Shore Life Church to help the family, Trotter leaves behind a fiancée and four children.
