Police: Former Stratford High School wrestling coach accused of sexually assaulting female student

A person was shot multiple times in Bridgeport Thursday afternoon, police say.

Police responded to the 330th block of Trumbull Avenue just before 4 p.m. after the city's ShotSpotter system detected four shots there.

Officers found the victim, an 18-year-old man in the parking lot of Trumbull Gardens. They say he was alert and responsive. He was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center.

No suspects are currently in custody, police say.

It's not clear what caused the shooting.
