JFK Airport will start accepting travelers arriving from countries affected by Ebola.

It will be one of four airports in the United States receiving passengers from Central Africa, according to Customs and Border Protection.

The designation goes into effect for flights departing after 11:59 p.m. EDT on Thursday.

Prior to this, the agency has been restricting those flights to land only in Virginia, Georgia and Texas.

The CDC will focus public health resources to implement enhanced public health measures at the New York airport.

Seven Ebola cases and one death have been reported in connection with the outbreak in Uganda.

No cases have been reported in the U.S.
